HELPING PEOPLE RECONNECT WITH WHAT'S IMPORTANT

Located on over 1,300 acres and capable of hosting over 1,300 people, Lakeview is blessed with the ability to host groups of various sizes and multiple groups at the same time.  Our proximity to Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Waco, Austin, and Tyler make it feasible for our campers and guests to travel to Lakeview for week-long, weekend or weekday events.

Since the 1800s, camps have been a valuable part of our world.  Founded in 1947, Lakeview is celebrating 75 years of transforming lives for Jesus Christ.  Our purpose has not been altered and we continue to find new ways to help people experience God while visiting these Holy grounds.

God has utilized Lakeview in many different ways over the years.  From summer camp to adult retreats and family reunions, countless people have experienced God in a new and unmatched way that cannot be re-created anywhere else.  God planted a seed in the early 1940s and faithful disciples carried out God’s plan for that seed to become what we have today.  We, who have been called to Lakeview, have Faith that we are continuing to follow God’s plan as we pray and carry out the vision that has been given to us.

STATEMENT OF CORE BELIEFS

Lakeview is a ministry that is focused on transforming lives by experiencing God’s love in a safe environment through meaningful relationships and gracious hospitality. We do this by hosting camps, retreats, and other events throughout the year as we work to strengthen disciples for the transformation of our world. We are proud to provide an environment that fosters growth for our staff as well as our campers and guests.

  • We believe in one God, who is the Creator and sustainer of the universe.

  • We believe in the Trinity, God in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is fully human and fully divine.

  • We believe that through His death and resurrection, we have received Grace that is freely given to all of God’s children who believe and call upon the Lord.

  • We believe that we are called to live according to the example of Jesus Christ, His teachings and scripture contained in the Old and New Testaments.

  • We believe in providing a positive, safe environment for our staff, campers, and guests to learn more about Jesus’ teachings and grow in their walk with God.
