FAMILY CAMP

ROOTED
July 4-6, 2025
This 4th of July weekend, step away from the noise of everyday life and into a place where faith, family, and adventure come together. Lakeview’s Family Camp, themed "Rooted," is more than just a getaway—it’s an opportunity to slow down, reconnect, and create lasting memories in the beauty of East Texas.

From ziplining through the pines to casting a line in our Family Camp Fishing Tournament, every moment is designed to bring your family closer—to each other and to the Lord. Spend your days exploring, playing, and worshiping together, and your evenings gathered around the campfire, sharing stories under a sky full of stars. With a special 4th of July celebration, including great food and festive activities, this weekend will be filled with laughter, adventure, and moments that remind you of what truly matters.

Whether your family is returning to Lakeview or experiencing it for the first time, you’ll find a place where faith is strengthened, bonds grow deeper, and the distractions of the world fade away. Come and get Rooted in faith, family, and the joy of being together.

MEET OUR SPEAKER
Jennifer Hodson
We’re honored to welcome Pastor Jennifer Hodson as the speaker for Lakeview Family Camp 2025! Jennifer is the lead pastor of Bryan Community Church, a growing church plant committed to loving God, loving people, and sharing Christ’s hope with the world. Jennifer has been faithfully serving in ministry since 2009—from her early years in West Virginia and Maryland to her current mission field in Bryan/College Station, Texas.

Jennifer holds an M.Div. from Wesley Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership at Texas A&M University (Whoop!). Beyond her role in the church, she serves her community through organizations like Chosen, volunteers with Bryan ISD, and provides spiritual care as a chaplain for the Bryan Police Department. Jennifer’s heart for people and deep love for Jesus shine through in everything she does. She is supported and inspired by her husband and their two amazing daughters—and we can’t wait for your family to hear the message she’ll bring to camp this summer.

MEET OUR WORSHIP LEADER
Wayne Kerr
We’re thrilled to welcome Wayne Kerr to Lakeview Family Camp 2025! Wayne has been leading worship and sharing God’s message through music since 1995, with more than 16 years of full-time ministry across the U.S. and abroad. Whether leading worship for thousands or speaking to a room of twelve, Wayne brings an authentic passion for connecting people to Christ. He’s led at major events like Resurrection, Student Life Camps, and Youth15—but he’ll be the first to tell you it’s not the crowd size that matters—it’s the heart behind it.

Today, Wayne serves as Artist in Residence and part-time Worship Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church in Katy, TX. When he’s not leading worship, he’s creating original artwork featured in galleries, auctions, and even Buc-ee’s! His book, BRAVING, released in 2022, reflects his deep heart for creativity and courage in faith. Wayne and his wife Kelley have two daughters—and a Great Pyrenees named Bruce—and we can’t wait for your family to worship and grow alongside his.
