GREETINGS FROM LAKEVIEW

There’s so much happening at Lakeview this season! Josh shares a look at recent updates, what we’ve been working on this spring, and what we’re looking forward to in the days ahead.

EVENTS AND HAPPENINGS

FAMILY CAMP - BETTER TOGETHER

Family Camp is right around the corner, and we can’t wait to welcome families back to Lakeview for a few days of rest, connection, and fun. This year’s theme, Better Together, is all about making space for what matters most—time with your people, shared experiences, and moments that stick long after the weekend ends. From activities around camp to meaningful time together as a family, it’s a chance to step away from the usual routine and reconnect.

You can find more details and register at iheartlakeview.org/familycamp.

MID-WINTER 2027 REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR GRADES 3-12!

We’re still talking about Mid-Winter 2026.

It was a weekend full of worship, laughter, and the kind of moments that stick with you long after you leave.

And now—it’s already time to look ahead.

Mid-Winter 2027 (February 12–14) is officially open for registration.

More info is coming, but you can start planning now: iheartlakeview.org/midwinter

MONROE'S RETIREMENT CELEBRATION

Thank you to everyone who helped make Monroe’s retirement celebration such a special and meaningful evening.

From those who attended, to those who helped plan, serve, and share stories, it was a true reflection of the impact Monroe has had on Lakeview over the years. His steady leadership, faithful presence, and deep care for this place and its people have shaped Lakeview in lasting ways.

It was a joy to gather, reflect, and celebrate a man who has given so much of himself to this ministry. We are grateful for Monroe, and for the opportunity to honor his years of service together.

GUEST EXPERIENCE INTERNSHIP

Lakeview has launched a new Guest Experience Internship, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

This 9-month program is built for those who feel called to ministry and want to gain practical, hands-on experience in outdoor recreation and camp/conference center operations. Interns are part of the day-to-day life of Lakeview—serving guests, supporting programs, and learning what it takes to create meaningful experiences.

This internship is an opportunity to invest in the next generation of leaders, and we’re looking forward to walking alongside those who step into it. If you'd like more information about this opportunity, please contact Ben Moran at ben@iheartlakeview.org.

FACILITY UPDATES

THUNDER BRIDGE COMPLETION

We’re grateful to share that repairs to Thunder Bridge are complete!

Thank you to everyone who visited Lakeview during this time for your patience as we worked through these much-needed improvements.

We’re excited to have Thunder Bridge fully restored and ready for all who come to experience Lakeview.

For more facility news, check out Josh's video update at the beginning of the newsletter!

STAFF SPOTLIGHT

Welcome, Dayne Weber, Assistant Food Services Director!

We’re excited to welcome Dayne Weber as Lakeview’s new Assistant Food Services Director. In this video, Josh chats with Dayne to share more about his background, his heart for serving guests, and what he’s looking forward to in this new role. We’re grateful to have him on the team and invite you to get to know him a little better.

MISSION OPPORTUNITIES

SPRING SERVICE PROJECTS

We’re thankful for the group of students who spent part of their Spring Break serving at Lakeview this year. Their willingness to give their time and energy helped move forward important projects and care for this place in a tangible way.

We’re looking ahead to future seasons and would love to partner with more groups who want to provide their students with opportunities to serve, grow, and invest in something meaningful. Visit our Make an Impact page to inquire about service projects.

We're hiring for summer staff and other positions! Join our team.

SHARE YOUR LAKEVIEW STORY!

We love hearing how Lakeview has impacted your life, and now it’s easier than ever to share your experience! You can now submit testimonials and feedback directly through our website, helping us spread the word and invite even more people to fall in love with Lakeview.

If you feel comfortable, we greatly appreciate video testimonials—your stories bring Lakeview to life in a way that words alone cannot. Whether it’s a favorite memory, a life-changing moment, or what keeps bringing you back, your voice can inspire future campers, families, and guests.

Thank you for being part of the Lakeview family—we can’t wait to hear from you!
