GREETINGS FROM LAKEVIEW

God continues to move in exciting ways at Lakeview. In this video update, Josh shares ministry highlights, campus updates, and what's on the horizon. Be sure to watch, then explore the articles below for a closer look at each story.

EVENTS AND HAPPENINGS

PRAYER TRAIL & LABYRINTH DEDICATION

For nearly 80 years, Lakeview has been a place where lives are transformed through meaningful encounters with God. We invite you to join us as we dedicate our new Prayer Trail and Labyrinth—a space designed to encourage prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. The Prayer Trail is dedicated in honor of Monroe Walker's faithful legacy of ministry, and the benches surrounding the labyrinth recognize Lakeview staff members who have served the ministry for more than 20 years. We hope you'll join us for this special celebration and a reception in the Great Hall following the dedication. Please RSVP to janet@iheartlakeview.org by Sept. 1.

FAMILY CAMP SAVE THE DATE!

What an incredible Fourth of July weekend! From worship and family activities to fireworks and time spent simply enjoying one another, Family Camp 2026 was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and memories that will last for years to come. One of our favorite things has been hearing from families who are already asking when they can come back—and we're excited to say the wait won't be long! Mark your calendars now for July 2–4, 2027, and plan to join us for another unforgettable Family Camp at Lakeview.

ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

Registration is now open for Lakeview's Annual Golf Tournament on November 2! Gather a foursome or become a tournament sponsor and spend the day enjoying great golf while helping invest in a place where lives are transformed. Proceeds from the tournament support capital improvements that strengthen Lakeview's ability to serve campers, retreat guests, and families for years to come. Whether you're playing, sponsoring, or simply looking for a meaningful way to support the ministry, we'd love for you to be part of this special day: iheartlakeview.org/golf

MID-WINTER WILL BE HERE BEFORE YOU KNOW IT!

Registration is now open for Mid-Winter Camp 2027! Join us February 12–14 for a weekend of worship, biblical teaching, unforgettable fun, and meaningful community as students in 3rd–12th grade grow in their faith and build lasting friendships. Following an incredible year of growth, we're excited to welcome even more churches for another unforgettable weekend at Lakeview. Reserve your group's spot today: iheartlakeview.org/midwinter

CELEBRATING 72 YEARS OF FISH CAMP AT LAKEVIEW

It's still Aggie Central at Lakeview! For the 72nd year, we have the privilege of hosting Texas A&M's Fish Camp, and it remains one of the traditions we cherish most. As Texas A&M celebrates 150 years of history, we're grateful to continue playing a small part in welcoming each new generation of Aggies. To the thousands of students, counselors, and leaders spending part of their summer at Lakeview—thank you for allowing us to serve you. We look forward to continuing this special partnership for many years to come.

CELEBRATING SUSAN BRANNEN

This summer, we had the privilege of honoring someone who has cared for generations of the Lakeview family. In recognition of Susan Brannen’s more than 20 years of faithful service as Camp Nurse, we officially dedicated the lobby of the Robinson Infirmary as the Susan Brannen Lobby.

Through countless Lakeview camps and Texas A&M Fish Camps, Susan has cared for campers, leaders, and staff with kindness, professionalism, and a true servant’s heart. We’re grateful for the many years she has poured into this ministry and love that her name will now be a permanent part of a place where she has cared for so many.

FACILITY UPDATES

GATHER AROUND THE FIRE

There's just something about gathering around a fire. Whether it's sharing stories after a full day of activities, reflecting on what God has been doing, or simply enjoying good conversation under the stars, some of the best moments of a retreat happen long after the scheduled sessions end. That's why we've added two new fire pits at the Hearn dorms and one at the Asbury dorms, giving retreat groups even more inviting spaces to connect, relax, and build meaningful relationships. We can't wait to see the memories made around these new gathering places.

NEW MISSION OPPORTUNITIES!

A retreat has the power to transform the people who attend—but what if it could also impact people far beyond Lakeview? Our new service opportunities make it easy for groups to add a meaningful mission component to their retreat, whether through assembling disaster relief kits, partnering with local ministries, or serving right here on campus. Together, we can put faith into action while creating an experience your group won't soon forget. Visit the Make an Impact page to learn more!

SHARE YOUR LAKEVIEW STORY!

We love hearing how Lakeview has impacted your life, and now it’s easier than ever to share your experience! You can now submit testimonials and feedback directly through our website, helping us spread the word and invite even more people to fall in love with Lakeview.

If you feel comfortable, we greatly appreciate video testimonials—your stories bring Lakeview to life in a way that words alone cannot. Whether it’s a favorite memory, a life-changing moment, or what keeps bringing you back, your voice can inspire future campers, families, and guests.

Thank you for being part of the Lakeview family—we can’t wait to hear from you!
